WHALE SHARK TOURS

Embark on an unforgettable experience from Cancun on a tour to see the world's biggest fish, the Whale Shark. This one-in-a-lifetime journey on Mexico's Caribbean coast allows you to get up close and personal with these majestic creatures of the deep blue, as they migrate to the area. The season runs from mid-May to mid-September, allowing visitors during this time the opportunity to set sail on this experience like no other.

The crystal-clear waters of Mexico's Caribbean offer amazing visibility, making it easy to spot the Whale Sharks both on the boat and when you jump in to swim with them. On a Whale Shark tour, you will be guided by an experienced Whale Shark guide and a boat captain, both of whom know where the Whale Sharks can be found and who will make sure your day and encounter will be magical and memorable.

THE TOUR -
Your day will begin with an early meeting with your guide, who will provide a briefing for your upcoming adventure. You will then set out on a boat journey north, which will take approximately 45 minutes (although it may be longer depending on the location of the Whale Sharks, as this is a true ocean safari to witness wild marine life) until you reach the Whale Shark area. Once the Whale Sharks are spotted from the boat, you will have the opportunity to jump into the water (please note that you will be provided with a mandatory life jacket which you must wear when swimming with the Whale Sharks). Groups of two, accompanied by a certified guide, will swim alongside these gentle giants as they gracefully glide through the water. You may have the chance to swim more than once, depending on the number of Whale Sharks and the number of guests on board (maximum of 10 people). If you're lucky, you might even spot dolphins and manta rays in the same area.
Following this incredible experience, the boat will return and make a stop at the renowned white sand and turquoise blue water beach, Playa Norte, on the island of Isla Mujeres. Here, you can relax or take a swim while the crew and captain prepare a delicious fresh fish ceviche for you.
